Vanessa Poster , Principal Vanessa Poster is a Principal at Shirley Associates and has been a valuable member of the team since early 2011. Vanessa comes to executive search from the perspective of a nonprofit management and fundraising consultant who has been in the field for more than 25 years. Vanessa's experience as a non-profit professional includes capital campaign management, board development, grant writing, event planning, program development, strategic planning and public relations. Since her arrival at Shirley Associates, she has recruited Executive Directors, Development Directors, Major Gift Directors and Directors of Foundations and Corporate Relations for universities, welfare agencies and Jewish nonprofits. Vanessa currently holds public office as a Beach Cities Health District (BCHD) Board member. She is the founding chair of the BCHD Strategic Planning Committee, where she continues to be a vital leader in exploring new directions for the cutting-edge agency. An alumnus of Stanford University, she earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees with distinction.
